So I'm probably 3/4 of the way through redesigning my bedroom and front room. They're connected and both are very much my space, I also have access to a covered(not screened in) porch via a door in the front room. I've got some space beneath a window in that front room(looks onto the porch), and I'm debating between a loveseat and a small table/desk for that space. Has anyone had a love seat in their bedroom or a seating area just outside it? Would you consider a desk a better use of space? I have my bedding already, and my curtains are a color called sea glass-teal, basically. The walls are beige with white trim, the furniture is antique oak with a light stain. In my bedding there are orange, yellow, teal, purple, white, lime green and baby blue elements, all in a very swirly pattern. What accessories are easy to care for and look great? Any favorite places to shop for classic, never goes out of style pieces, like a love seat or old desk? Do wall decals look tacky or not when on the walls?

We have a sitting area in the bedroom because it is very functional. I use it even with a sitting area in the closet as well. I would never put a desk in there because that just is NOT a bedroom function in my house. I also don't do a bedroom TV.

I like bold, passionate colors so chose a DEEP red for the bedding. You can see the sitting area in the back there. Still working on wall color though.

I vote for a desk. Then you can be productive w/out stressing over it.
