Alternative to Shakeology

I currently drink Chocolate Shakeology for breakfast (with 2 tbsp PB2, 1/2 a frozen banana, and 1/2 cup of skim milk) and I'm reaching the bottom of the bag. Before I reorder, I wanted to get some input about some alternatives to the product. I love Shakeology, but it's a bit pricey. While I'm not totally against the price for what you get, I'm certain there are other products out there that provide the same nutrients at a much lower cost.

Please keep in mind I am looking for COMPARABLE products. In other words, I'm not interested in hearing about dozens of protein shakes that are JUST protein shakes. Shakeology provides a lot of additional nutrients that a lot of protein shakes don't (and need a multi-vitamin to offset). Again, this is not an option I'm against - but for now, I'm trying to get just one product that is COMPARABLE to Shakeology. I know nothing will be exact, but if it's close enough and saves me $25-50 a month, then I'll take it :)

Thanks!

I'm not sure. I would just say a protein shake with a multivitamin. It honestly shouldn't be that hard since Shakeology uses sub-par ingredients and is pretty much poo.

    Google search Shakeology replacement
    Comparison Table

For an easy “at a glance” comparison of the four supplements (including Shakeology), see the chart below:
Shakeology Alternative Calories Saturated Fat Sodium Carbs Fiber Sugars Protein Price
    Shakeology (30 Servings)
    160 1g 150mg 17g 6g 6g 17g $129.95 here
    Garden of Life (14 servings) 270 0g 95mg 35g 9g 11g 34g $40 here
    Nature's Bounty (13 servings) 110 1g 100mg 10g 6g 2g 15g $15 here
    Labrada Lean Body (16 servings) 290 2g 350mg 21g 7g 6g 35g $35 here

@samerz816 ok, so I have been through a few sites and most say it is in a class of its own. I think that is because things are just protein powders, other are not vegan, and most lack added vitamins. The only thing I found that might be helpful as a replacement is the Carnation breakfast essentials if you don't have any dietary restrictions. In a warehouse store like sams club you get a thirty count individually wrapped serving for about .37 cents or 11 dollars. If you are worried about sugar amount, you can go the the regular store which has more options of flavor and a choices between reduces sugar and regular. Hope this helps.

Lol - and how many of those sites are sponsored by beachbody?

Shakeology in a class all it's own....I've heard it all.

so you want validation for using something that is over priced and has nothing to do with nutrition..??

    here is my advice

eat real food and incorporate nutrient dense foods into said real food so that you hit your micros and macros…

    OR

eat real food and take a multivitamin …

This would be my answer. And the people that rave about how amazing shakeology is are likely all profiting from it's sales. So...

Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold standard whey along with Garden of Life Perfect Food.

Dollar for dollar, you'll get more servings for the cost and more than likely a "purer" product.

I read this as your mind already being made up about this beachbody scam. If it offers so much more than what you think you'll get anywhere else, you should just keep buying it.

I would recommend an alternative that has been evaluated by the FDA.

What is your diet missing that you're trying to make up for in Shakeology? Do you have difficulty getting protein? Fiber? Calcium? You're probably peeing out most of the vitamins and minerals if you're eating a balanced diet.

    This and this.

Use protein powder, add fruit/flax oil/greens whatever other shiz you want in there. Done.

1/15th of the price and 100% better quality.

I have been using idealshakes for breakfast as I am not a big breakfast eater (other than the 11am drive to the diner for grease) I bought the chocolate tub, it mixes with water really well I add almond butter and bananas and it keeps me full... it's about 1/2 the price of shakeology. I wasn't looking for a weight loss quick fix just something that would kick start my day and provide protein & vitamins with minimal prep... so far so good.

Body by VI offers similar multi level marketing opportunities. I'm not sure why you would want to try any product that would NOT offer such great opportunities. All this talk about nutrition is just silly if you don't consider marketing and coaches etc.

You can try this really old yet proven product that all my ancestors have used with great success.

    It's called F.O.O.D.

    Steak.

ShakeO's protein (17g/140 calories) is actually pretty subpar in comparison to other, less expensive powders, but I guess if it has all those other magical properties nobody cares.

I just ordered the sample package.. It's not to lose weight but to get something in me quick after my runs. I just got it and waiting on a new blender I ordered to given it a try. I know it's expensive but I just have to see if it's any good. I may or may not order it again. I will know by Friday if it taste good or not.

Why be an *kitten*!?If it's not your money then don't worry about it. Last I knew you don't pay my bills or my grocery bills. I never mentioned its over priced. That is your opinion. If it helps me get my calories in after a long run and if I choose to purchase it again that is my right.

I have an issue where I am not hungry say after 8 miles and don't want food...then I eat something small and get sick with a bad headache.. just want to try it and if it helps that issue. I signed up for half Marathon in June. I can't be down sick after my runs. If it helps and I can't justify the price I can look for another solution.
