Any Good Cabbage Soup Recipes?

Let me start off by saying this is NOT for the cabbage soup diet! My grandma used to make cabbage soup and I am craving it like crazy! I remember it having chunks of beef, cabbage, carrots and onions but I don't remember what else it had...I assume beef broth? Garlic and potatoes maybe?

Do any of you in MFP land have any tasty recipes?

Thanks!

Soups always started with frying some onions, and usually celery. If you have time for a slow simmer, now would be the time to add fatty meat or marrow rich bone. If not, add soup stock. One your stock is ready, add cabbage and carrots, usually tomato too. Simmer until cabbage is cooked, season with salt and pepper ( and perhaps paprika) to taste.
