hi. I'll hit 1 yr not smoking in 8 days! I gained about 10 lbs. doesn't seem like a lot but it bothers me and makes me feel heavier when I try to exercise. I'm on a mission to learn and create new healthy eating and fitness habits and am looking to find people in my age range as "buddies" for support. Hi all!

    I quit smoking 3 weeks ago and on a healthier journey as well. Would love to add you as a friend to not only help with fitness but to continue to be a non smoker

    I quit smoking 7 years ago. It was the hardest thing I ever did and I still think about smoking every day. I gained 50 lbs when I quit. I'm losing that now! Took me a while. lol

    Jacook I also have 2 boys. a 4 year old and 2 year old. Yours are adorable.

    I have quit and started again so many times I have lost count... still trying..
    I started mfp at 150, now around 130. goal is 120.
    good work on catching the weight gain before it got out of control.

    I just started MFP. Weighing in at 155, would like to get to 125 but would be happy reaching 140. Quit energy drinks cold turkey several weeks ago and started eating healthier and this is harder than I thought it would be. My main goal is to exercise at least 30 minutes or more everyday and eat healthy 80% of the time. It is difficult when SO brings junk food home or work offers unhealthy treats.
