I weigh myself each morning as soon as i get up, but lately ive been going on on a night too - it normally shows about +1lb.
What is the best time to weigh myself for my accurate weight - should i do both and take the average?

Take it at the same time every day. My weight can fluctuate 3-4kgs over a day depending on what and when I've eaten, how much I've drunk etc.
It'll fluctuate during the week too.... I'd take it every day and average over the week. Compare weeks to see progression...0 -
Morning, after you eliminate, before you eat or drink by preference around the same time each day.
In the evening you are unlikely to have processed everything you've consumed during the day.
You may also want to use a "smoothing" weight tracker such as trendweight.com or weightgrapher.com to smooth out day to day variations and TOM water retention and to avoid freaking out on random water weight variations due to salt, exercise, or what have you.0 -

Basically this. Any time after that and what you've eaten & drunk and what activities you've done will affect your weight. In the morning, after using the toilet, naked (or wearing the same clothes every time) is best.0 -
Doesn't matter .. human beings don't have a true weight, we have a weight range (generally around 3lbs)
for weight loss you're looking at a progression .. so just always do it at the same time and under the same conditions
personally I like to log my lowest weight so first thing in the morning, after I get up and use the bathroom and nekkid0 -

I only trust the weight in the morning, naked, after toilet, before eating. Anything else is at the mercy of how much I've eaten or drank through the course of the day.0

I weigh naked, in the morning after a wee. Weekly. But I know the monthly difference is the main one to pay attention to.
I also measure hips and waist and check my body fat %.0 -
I weigh first thing in the morning, but the most important thing is to weigh at the same time of day, each time.
Lots of slimming clubs meet in the evenings and do weigh-ins there. Most people are a couple of pounds heavier by the evening, but if you're comparing like-for-like from week to week then it's fine.0 -

Wake, pee, weigh. You are always going to weigh less in the morning unless you eat or drink overnight. If you step on the scale at night it should be out of curiosity, nothing more.
I have two years of daily weighing charted. So much fun0
