New to MFP - Looking for Support

Hi, my name is Christian. I'm 32 years old, 5'9", and 220lbs. I'm a former U.S. Marine, so fitness isn't new to me, but I've since used injuries sustained while I was in as an excuse to let myself go. This wasn't as much of a problem when I had a really active job, but my current work keeps me behind a desk most of the day and I'm fed up with being out of shape.
I've tried a few different weight loss programs in the past, and two of the major obstacles for me were the amount of research it took just to keep track of calories, proteins, carbs, etc., and the lack of support I had. Let's face it, as a Marine, I didn't get in shape on my own, but rather through both supporting, and being supported by, others. MFP seems like an app that does both of these things well. It's only day one for me, but I can already see how much easier this is to use than tools I've had in the past.
My goal is to lose 45lbs by the end of the year. I realize I will never be as light as I was when I joined the Corps; let's face it, I didn't have a lot of muscle then, but I think that 175lbs is a reasonable goal for me right now.
So there's that. I'm looking for friends, for those interested in both giving and receiving encouragement. I know that motivating and encouraging others to stay the course and keep up the good work is just as strong a tool for me as being encouraged when it comes to sticking with it. If I seem like the sort of friend you want in your support group, then please add me!
Thanks!
