Just about to start a cycle.

Anyone currently using creatine & have any recommendations or helpful suggestions from personal experience.

ie dosage, how often to use it, how long you cycled for, did you notice changes?

Product I bought was Optimum Nutrition

(I have done plenty of research, im just interested in other peoples personal experience, especially girls like myself  )

I use it every day. Been taking it every morning forever now. I dont cycle, just take 5 grams a day. I have been making gains in strength and increase in weight im lifting. i couldnt tell you if its directly as a result of creatine or if the gains would happen regardless. I havent seen any kinds of ill effects or any kinds of changes since taking it. I did notice that if i take it before my workout im finding that i am drinking a lot more water while working out so i either take it in the morning since i work out in the evening after work or i take it after my workout. Just not before. Hope this helps.

cheers for the reply :) . for my body weight it recommended 5g a day. After the reading i've done I think i'd be best to take it right after my workout.
The only thing that concerns me is weight gain, but ive read that once you stop a cycle the water weight drops..

    5 grams a day. Don't cycle. Doesn't matter when you take it .. I take it pre-workout simply because it's convenient ....
doesn't matter about the brand - just get creatine monohydrate .. it's all the same.

weight is arbitrary .. it might go up, it might not .. creatine does make you retain water, but it's negligible ..

this is the one i bought: http://au.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/crea.html?_requestid=85853

So you reckon just 5g a day? I do my workouts in the morning , do weights for about an hour.

I have C4 as my pre workout which contains creatine, but from what i've looked at and read it's only about 1g per serve of C4 , so I would have 4grams post workout

yeah pre-workouts have minimal amounts of creatine .. i normally have a pre-workout (c4), and add 5 grams of creatine and 5 grams of beta-alanine ..
5 grams a day is enough .. you don't need to creatine load. you'll start noticing effects a couple of weeks after you start taking it though.

    Awesome thanks

Do you find that when you stop taking it the water weight drops? I guess it's just a case of trialling it and see how it effects my body. Just don't want to blow up like a hippo lollllllllllll
