Chic pea & Avocado Hummus
Options
This turned out super yummy. Blended one drained can of chic peas with one large avocado, 1/4 cup homemade black eyed peas drained, 1/4 cup of the black eyed peas broth, 2 tbs fresh salsa, roasted garlic powder, and black pepper. I know, my pic looks like evil asparagus fingers are rising from the bowl!

My version was inspired by a friend who blended 1 can rinsed chic peas with one whole avocado, 1/3 cup water, 1 tbsp. chia seeds, 1 tsp cumin and a pinch of curry powder. I don't like curry and was out of chia seeds, so I improvised a little.

I think I'd like your friends version since I don't like blackened peas. Thanks for sharing!

If it weren't for the curry, I'd like her version too. Just can't take curry. I just used black eyes because I happened to have some in the fridge that I made last weekend.
