My random motivation for the day

Once upon a time, Back in the day there was a band called The Band and they put on a concert called "The Last Waltz
The Band invited all their friends to sing in this concert. One of these friends was named Van Morrison.
Van used to sing lots of songs, but he was older now and had fallen out of style. He had never been very handsome and He had gained a lot of weight too. Van tried to get in shape for the concert but there wasn't enough time.
Van got up on the stage to sing. He didn't greet the audience or make eye contact. He ran off after he was done because he didn't want to hear the much younger audience laughing at him.
What he failed to realize is that he killed it. Critics praised his one song above so many others and the audience cheered for him.
Moral of the story: don't be self concious because if how you look, and don't stop being your awesome self because you are afraid folks will laugh at you. More likely they are pretty dang impressed.

Matt also posted this I thought added to your interesting story
"Can you believe Van was so drunk backstage they almost didnt let him come out. He could hardly speak a clear sentence. He convinced them that it was his style. He came out and did that!! Amazing!"
Sometimes when we are fat, overweight, obese, we just want to stay home & hide, we become so anti-social!!
Time to rise & shine0 -

I missed that post! Silly search function, thanks for adding that in!
And he was drunk too! I thought Eric Clapton was the only one that was a bit high!0 -
Ok, now I'm wondering if I should get drunk for my first 10k
Fun side story, this has been a fave concert of mine since I was a girl, and the first time I showed it to my husband he was good up till this song, he just said very loudly "WHAT THE DUCK?!?"
Of course he knew the voice but he never saw Morrison. He thought Van was a microphone technician, he was totally taken aback when he started singing!0
