It's more about the diet than the gym. When you are first starting out, if you don't see a quick initial loss you may not have cut back enough or aren't tracking accurately. The odds of other explanations are pretty remote at that point, but if you have specific medical reasons to think it might be something else, check with your doc.

How slow is slow? Starting weight, current weight?

Sometimes it's slow and sometimes, it's not but it can be hard finding what works for you. I cook from scratch and eat about 70% clean. I run 3x a week and do lots of walking and that works for me. Eating enough calories is also key along with accurate logging.

It's taken me 3 months to lose 15 pounds. I have 25 to go. But, I want this to be what I do for the rest of my life and refuse to worry about it.

Please don't compare your weight loss against an arbitrary time constraint or against the "achievements" of those on reality shows like The Biggest Loser, where people do nothing but train and eat minimal nutrition levels to achieve generally unsustainable losses for entertainment purposes.

My advice would be just to be patient. It took me 18 months to lose 45 lbs (baby weight) and there were a couple of months I didn't lose any. It can be frustrating but it will come off. What I found that helped was changing up my cardio and lifting weights. I don't eat real good so can't give you any advice on that. LOL That's why I am here. Need to start logging and eating better.
