365 days of making a HUGE change!

I just hit 365 days...wow....one year---made it through the first chapter! This has been a great learning experience for me, and I am proud to say I made a huge change in my life for myself, my family, and for God. The Daniel Plan was the best thing that could have happened to me! I was able to work on my Faith, my Food choices, my Fitness, my Focus, and my Friends. I'm not finished yet, but it's great to know the next chapter is just beginning.
The Daniel Plan is more than a diet, it was a lifestyle change. Yes, I lost weight, but I gained so much more! I have confidence in myself to do anything I set my mind too. During all of this, I never thought I could be someone who could lose more than 20-30lbs...to see the weight came off like it did, encouraged me to push the limits and to keep moving forward. Taking it one day at a time and logging my food into MFP for a year straight has kept me on track! To cut out the processed junk (food and non-food) has really opened my eyes. So grateful for this past year, and I hope this encourages someone to take the right step forward!
Highlights: 67 pounds and 55 total inches gone forever --- I RAN a 5K after only 8 weeks of training and now I can run 7 miles straight, and I’m training for a half marathon now!--- I can exercise and lift weights more than I could during month one – I miss exercising if I miss a day or two!---I’m not perfect, and I accept that, but I know to keep pushing forward and don’t ever look back!
Info about me:
32 years old
5’7”
Start weight: 250lbs
Current weight after 1 year: 182lbs
Measurements:
Hips: 52 in – 40 in
Chest: 40 in – 34 in
Thighs: 29 in – 21 in
Arms: 14 in – 11.5 in
Around Butt: 53 in – 43 in
Waist (at belly button): 46.5 in – 37 in
Calf: 17.5 in –15 in
Knees: 17 in – 15 in
Body weight when I started was at least 31% (I didn’t do this measurement until 6 months in and I was already down 50 lbs) and now it’s at 27%. I lost the first 50 within 6 months and the 17 lbs took a little longer, but I was still losing inches, so this is important to not get frustrated when you don’t see the number move on the scale!
I hope this helps to encourage anyone who thinks they can’t do it…you can, you just have to have the focus! If you want it bad enough, you can get it! Take pictures and measurements, it’s great to see yourself in a different way when the scale is being pesky! Thanks for reading!! Some pics attached throughout the journey! Remember..it's a lifestyle change, not a diet!!

Amazing job!! You look great!! So you did this just by cutting processed foods, lifting a little and running? That's pretty great! Could you explain your exercise a little more in detail? I think that would help.0

So, yea, I did more than just a little running...I should have explained more! So, I go to the gym 5-6 days a week and do a mixture of running, Zumba, BodyPump, stair climber, and elliptical work. I try to spice it up so my body doesn't adjust to one type of workout. I've been running more lately because of the half marathon training. I have a heart rate monitor and a fitbit, so that helps keep me moving. I try to burn at least 600 calories each workout, if not more. :0)0
