I'm 225 and it was rough on the knees to be honest. T25 is good with the modifier and 21 day fix with the modifier.

I started insanity when I was that heavy so it is doable but take it super easy te first week you do the workouts or you may have trouble walking the next day after a workout! It took me a week or two for my quads to recoup after my second workout of insanity as I pushed too hard and my body wasn't ready for that. it was pretty painful and brutal to sit down, get up or climb stairs. It slowly gets easier if you keep doing it...but to be honest...it still kicks my *kitten* if I don't do it for a week:) but did it help me lose weight...you betcha it did!

I have never done the insanity workout, and after seeing it on youtube, never will! I would have to so modify everything. I'm 40 pounds overweight, but nearly 63 years old and don't want to hurt anything. I love my exerbike, walking my dog, walking on the treadmill, and going to various free classes at the Y. I can usually get in easily eight to ten hours of exercise a week that way, which is fine with me. I'm not discounting insanity; just saying it's not for me.
