Am I weighing food correctly?

Hello! I purchased a food scale last night and used it today. It weighs in lbs and oz as well as fl oz. However, it does not weigh grams. Is this ok? For example: I logged 2.3oz of sweet potato today. Thanks for your help.

That's better than not weighing at all. Grams is most accurate, but I wouldn't worry about that discrepancy unless you stop losing weight.0

yeah its fine...to convert from oz to grams just multiply by 28.3, or 28. so you ate about 65g potato
or you can find foods that are listed according to ounces and just do that directly0 -
that should be fine.0

Awesome! thanks for your help! I wasn't weighing when I first started MFP but after reading a lot on these forums I grabbed one at the store yesterday.0

Decimal points are wonderful things. It doesn't really matter whether it's in grams or ounces as long as it can weigh in fractions of an ounce.
You might find yourself having to convert food a lot, since a lot of food labels are in grams. Just bookmark a conversion app on your phone if you're not good at dividing by 28.3 in your head.0 -
28grams = 1oz, so 2.3 oz would be 2.3x28 = about 65grams.0
