Healthy, sustainable weight loss is .5-2 pounds per week, which equals about .25-1kg. But those higher numbers are only for people with more to lose. Six months, probably won't cut it. Set your goal to a pound a week (about half a kilogram) and go from there.

Yeah, 0.5kg/week is probably around the pace you should aim for, give or take. At that pace you can expect it to take 9-10 months, or possibly around a year, to lose the weight you're looking to lose.

But don't despair: This is a good thing. Slow is good. You're changing habits for life. Losing weight slowly means you won't be miserable while you do it.

The most healthy and safe way to lose weight In my opinion is to create a calorie deficit (eat less but not so little you're malnourished) have most of what you eat be healthy natural foods, with maybe a few treats, drink water instead of sweet drinks, and to get some exercise/motion/activity in most days.

I'm not that hard-core about it and I'm still losing weight.

20 kg is about 44 pounds. At a maximum rate of 2 pounds per week, you are looking at 22 weeks. But it is unlikely that you can sustain that, as weight loss is seldom linear. I'm betting a year.

I lost 20kg in about 12 weeks but I started out at 115kg.
