Guilt/shame over praise?

Has anyone ever felt guilty when receiving praise or encouragement during weight loss? Sometimes (more than I care to admit), when friends compliment or praise me for my weight loss, I feel like I don't deserve any praise or encouragement because I did this to myself...got myself to this weight and position, so it's not praiseworthy to get myself out of it. It shouldn't have gotten to this point in the first place, therefore I don't need the attention.
Is this just a weird shame/emotional insecurity thing I need to work through? Please tell me I'm not alone! It's starting to mess with my motivation.

U do deserve praise! Honestly weight loss is no joke it takes time determination and perseverance. One of my proudest moments was losing 50lb. Yup I got myself there but I damnwell got myself out. And im stronger and healthier than ever. Most gain and never even try to lose. They are noticing ur hard work. Thats how I see it.0
