First, figure out your BMR and TDEE to find a healthy calorie deficit for you to shoot for. This website is a good starting point http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
Second, immediately get yourself a cheap digital scale and get in the habit of weighing/measuring all your food. You won't have an accurate count of your calorie intake if you aren't doing this. It seems tedious at first, but it quickly becomes second-nature.
Third, be ready to make changes FOR LIFE. Healthy eating isn't something you get to do for a few months to lose weight and then go back to eating garbage. Come up with a plan for yourself that you'd be happy following for the rest of your life. This is how you get lasting results.0 -
