How come one week I lose more or less weight than the previous week when I eat just about the exact amount of calories and do the same amount of excercise? My diet isn't complicated at all, I pretty much eat the same things daily and usually do the same amount of cardio a day. Why is my weekly weight loss different each week? I'm not talking about small differences either. I'm talking one week I lose 1lb and then the next I lose 4 and then the next I lose none and the next I lose 2. Let's say for argument a person literally eats the exact thing every day, and burns the exact amount of calories a day would their weight loss sti fluctuate from week to week? If so What causes this?

Part of it is as your weight goes down, you have to adjust your exercise and food intake to still be effective. As odd as it sounds, its "easier" for your body to lose weight if you're heavier. Another part of it is natural hormone fluctuation. Your body goes through cycles, male or female, and those hormone cycles have a large effect on your body and the amount of weight you lose.

Another factor, though it's less likely for you since it sounds like you already know that you eat basically the same thing, is that you are miscalculating the actual calorie amount for the food you're eating.

I understand the whole the less u weigh the less calories you need making it harder to lose weifht but that doesn't explain how I can lose 2lbs one week and then lose 4 the next and then lose none and the next lose 3 lbs. I guess it may be like you said however your hormones are at the time. I would expect that a lot effecting women but me being a guy I didn't think it would cause thst much of a fluctuation.

    Weight loss isn't linear

consider your weight loss over 6-8 weeks and not week by week

lots of people hold on to weight then whoosh - it's just what happens

also scale weight is masked by water weight fluctuations and can fluctuate quite dramatically day to day .. due to sodium, change-up in exercise, hormones
