I go backwards on the cross trainer - it's supposed to be good for your glutes. I reckon there is less chance of me dropping off that than a treadmill.
I have seen this too, but because the person is holding on at the same time, it is quite safe. I would beg to differ that doing the same on the treadmill is safe however and if anybody disagrees, have you actually fell off the thing yet? It bloody hurts and I was NOT going backwards when I did this.0
