Is it ok to have 2000 calorie cheat days?

I usually eat about 1200 calories a day. Is it ok to have a 2000 calorie cheat day once a week? I absolutely love sweets and cannot go a long time without eating them.

Why don't you eat a little something every day instead? It's much better than just letting go once a week. For me, that would feed cravings and frustration.
I have a square of delicious Ritter chocolate almost every day (35 calories). I'll have a 1/4 cup of ice cream with a few cashews around 9 if I feel like it (100 calories or if I go for Benny and Jerry's, more). The point is, it fits in my 1230/day calories and I don't 'cheat'.
I also find that if I eat a lot of sweets at one time, I do start wanting them more. If I just have a taste, I enjoy it but can also let it go.
(I've been doing this a year.)0 -
I second nxd's post, just have a little something sweet every day.0
