Lose weight=calorie deficit, no exercise required at all
Make sure you lose more fat=lift all the heavy things while eating in a calorie deficit and consuming enough protein

If you want to add cardio in as well, go for it

Yes, you lose weight and fat at the same time -- by eating less mostly and by exercise.

hiya, good luck on your journey.
as suggested above, you don't NEED to work out to lose weight/fat.
having said that, it'll be a lot easier, your body will look a lot better, and you'll be a lot healthier if you did.

check out Michael Kory's video for working out your daily caloric needs:

he'll help you work out macros.

for a workout routine, anything will do as long as you're consistent.
lift heavy things, put them down.
do cardio 2/3 times a week, and be in a caloric deficit.
  • Use this website/application to set yourself some calorie goals, then try to be as accurate as possible in measuring what you eat and drink.
Your body naturally needs a certain number of calories to maintain your current weight. Let's say that number is 2500 per day. Eat that and you stay the same weight. Eat more, you'll gain. Eat fewer, you'll lose.

Eating fewer creates a calorie deficit. If you add in exercise, you are now burning extra calories, your deficit will be larger, and your weight/fat loss will be faster.

No magic. No secret formulas. Just eat less than you burn!
    Good luck!
