Hey Guys,
My main objective right now is to lose weight. I am currently consuming an average of 1500 calories a day. My exercise routine is as follows, I have modified it over a period of 20 days. I just want to know if this will help me lose weight or if it might sabotage.
Running
4 kms in 28 +- 3 mins (7.5 km per hour)
2 kms walk slow pace leisure
Body weight
You are your own gym DVD workout
Just 6 weeks app
I alternate running and body weight throughout the week and do nothing on one day. Is this sabotaging my muscles and body by not giving it time to recover ?
When I started out I didn't know the importance of rest and I used to run on mornings and do YAYOG in the evenings all the days of the week. I lost 3.5 kilos my first week. I then began researching and found that this was bad.
Please let me know if the current schedule is fine
Have a great day!
Thanks,
Arjun

You lose weight by monitoring your food intake
You workout to look and feel better, to improve cardiovascular fitness and maintain as much LBM as possible
Personally I'd be lifting heavy but if this is sustainable for you and you enjoy it and you're eating appropriately to fuel your exercise then fine ...0 -
Looks fine... Cardio, tick, resistance work, tick!0

A rest day is a good idea Some people have difficulty sleeping if they work out late in the day.0 -
I usually workout first thing morning! Guys thanks a lot for clarifying this.
BTW can someone become my mentor or accountability buddy ?0
