Bananas?

It seems that most, or at least some of the time, Bananas get a bad reputation for their moderate to high sugar content and calorie count.
I have done a lot of research over a period of time, and have experienced eating them on a daily basis for a few months. There are some great benefits to Bananas and I seem to prosper well from them as I have skin issues that seem to get better over time that the Bananas are helping to some degree.
What is your opinion and experiences with Bananas?

I like them. I add one to me morning cereal most days and sometimes I will also cut one up onto a half cup of ice cream. This way it makes the snack a little healthier and keeps me from eating 3x as much ice cream. They are also a good way to get some extra potassium into your diet. I never seem to quite get enough of it.0

I eat one everyday I just make it work into my calories and could careless about fruit sugars.0

I like tossing one in the blender when I have a protein shake.0

I eat 3 to 4 most days they also make a great pretend gun0

Did you know that when they get good and ripe you can stick your finger into one end, peeled of course, and just push your finger all the way to the other end. You end up with three exactly equal pieces the same length as the banana was.
I cut those lengthwise pieces into 1/2 inch segments and freeze them on pie plate or little baking sheet. Once they're frozen, drop into a freezer bag.
I like them in smoothies, pancakes, oatmeal with peanut butter, muffins, etc, etc.0 -
I eat about half a banana in my yogurt most mornings for breakfast along with strawberries and granola. I'll frequently eat the other half later in the day, sometimes with Nuttella.0

Nutella has stuff in it I can't have, unfortunately, but I love the Smart Balance Creamy Peanut Butter with bananas.

I always judge my food by how well they can perform as a pretend gun.
To answer the question, I often eat a banana when I have enough calories left over for the day. It actually satisfies chocolate cravings for me for much less calories.0 -

Interesting. What skin conditions do you have that bananas have helped you with? ?
(And yeah, bananas are great if you can fit them into your calorie budget... which anyone easily can, if they dig em. It's a nice, healthy fruit, after all.)0 -

Some foods I cannot eat with those two conditions. Peanuts, regular Cow's Milk, anything Soy, Wheat, Refined Flour, Refined Sugar, Preservatives, Fast Food, etc. I haven't gone out to eat in months, because they fill food with so much junk. I rather cook at home as it is.0
