Why winter is awesome for weight loss

for my fellow southern-hemispherers, as we head into the colder weather...

So many people seem to prefer losing weight in the warmer weather, but I much prefer the cold:
- so many easy, satiating, and low-cal soups and stews. I find so many of my supposedly 'light' summer meals have sneaky hidden calories!
- A nice cup of tea is a comforting snack
- Having a hot shower and getting into comfy pj's and slippers and having a cuppa is a great way to 'treat' myself rather than eating chocolate etc, as I'm a comfort eater, particularly in the evening
- I walk more briskly in the cold Melbourne wind...
- A coat covers the fact that my jeans are getting loose (but I'm not ready to buy new ones yet)
- And finally, for those who go to the gym, I used to love the gym in winter. Nothing better than a lovely warm workout to pick you up and keep you toasty. (Ok, the gym in summer is great too. And in spring and autumn. God I miss the gym)

Add your own if you can think of some!

The sups and stews are nice, but here comes summer with warm weather which makes it nice/easier to go out and seasonal fruit and veg becoming plentiful and cheap. Getting to the gym is half the battle.

Ooh no I rather bulk in the winter. I can hide my belly under hoodies for 6/8 months!! And going out for runs during the warmer months is a lot easier!!
