Calories don't match nutritional chart

someone please tell me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that all calories are either made up of fat, protein, or carb. Yesterday I went over by 800 calories but was one gram over on fat, and significantly short on protein and carbs. Can anyone explain?

Did you have any alcohol? Alcohol is also a macro (7kcal/gram), though MFP doesn't track it.
Some of the MFP entries may also be really off. It's user-inputted, so someone who might only be focused on their calories instead of calories and macros might not put all the nutrition information in for a food.0 -
Often entries are wrong.... Did you double check the entries you use? Fibre may not have been included in the carb macros, but would be a part of the calories0

Something you logged didn't have macros added to it (or had an error). Or you had alcohol.0
