pre-emptive NSV :)

I'm logging my NSV before its even happened because that's how positive I'm feeling!
For ages when I was overweight I'd dream of getting back to a certain goal weight (at my heaviest it was a 21kg loss to get there), and although I got close a few times, (at one point I was within 600g) I never quite managed to touch the magic number.
for the last 9 weeks ive been taking part in a 12 week weight loss challenge, and I've been doing well. when it started we had to name a goal weight, and in a fit of enthusiasm I decided that I wanted to exceed my dreams, and I set my target as 3kg below my initial goal.
lucky I did, because I smashed my initial goal weight a fortnight ago.
unfortunately, also a fortnight ago, I lost my last surviving grandparent, my beautiful Nan, at the still-too-soon age of almost 92. this meant a week of sad family meals and morning teas with various fly-in relatives, which are difficult to negotiate when you're on a calorie restriction. I'm fanatical when I'm counting my calories, but if I can't count, I don't sweat it, so I just accepted that my weight might go back up, which it did - up 700g last Wednesday.
I was determined to get back on track, but there was one last speedbump.. last Wednesday was also my birthday. one of my colleagues bought me a cupcake, and made me a little pot of a delicious (and terribly unhealthy) dip that he knows I like, and then there was another lovely dinner with my family, so I started afresh on Thursday, another 600g heavier than I'd been the day before.
I. Have. Killed. It. This. Week.
I weigh every day, and every day I've watched my weight get closer and closer to the PB I hit two weeks ago. this morning I was just 100g off it. tomorrow I WILL be under it, and will once again be the lightest I've been in my adult life. and it's so exciting. every morning when I hop on the scales I can think 'wow. I don't remember the last time I weighed that little!'
So, despite not having actually weighed myself yet, I'm already claiming the victory!
