Hey MFPers! I'm looking for suggestions on a pilates DVD to use at home. I don't need a beginners or anything of that nature as I did pilates a few years ago and remember what I'm supposed to do! I just don't get through the workout well without some sort of instruction! I'm looking for BASIC - no fancy going into the mountains stuff or perky people!! I really just enjoy simple and to the point, which is what pilates is to me. So please tell me what your favorite DVDs are! Thanks you guys! :flowerforyou:

I've been using Rael Isacowitz - System 17. It's his intermediate one of a 3-disc set. The first one was way too easy and I didn't have any pilates experience at all. It is a very simple set and music but more "professional" than some cheesy stuff I've seen. There is no fluff or annoyingly perky people! He's easy to follow and it lasts about 40 minutes. The moves are simple yet a lot of work on the body. I've been doing it about 3 times a week for 5 months and my abs and back fat are shrinking. I got mine off Amazon.com for under $10 including shipping. I need to get his advanced one soon.

Thanks for the info! I can't stand workout DVDs where the instructors are really perky or where they keep flashing between mountaintops and beaches and stuff...lol. I'll have to look this one up-sounds great! :drinker:
