I kind of hate them, to be honest, but I eat them with about a teaspoon of sugar because they're a filling addition to breakfast. For awhile, half a grapefruit with a bit of sugar would be my whole breakfast and I would actually be pretty full til lunch but then I wised up and started adding in more calories. Now I only do that if I have plans for a very splurge-y dinner0

I've had grapefruit a few times but im not a huge fan. They aren't worth the effort it takes to eat them, like pomegranates and pineapple.0

I feel like I must be doing something wrong because so many people love grapefruit but every time I try it just has this terrible bitter taste. I want to love it though so I keep trying it!0

I've never had one. But I'm always open to new things. Maybe I'll pick one up when I go grocery shopping.0

Every time I try them I just can't understand how it's possible for anyone to like them lol last time I tried it was slightly better but still too bitter for me to eat more than two bites0 -

We live in Arizona and I consider grapefruit one of the really good things about the place: The trees are huge and prolific and we usually get them for free. I grew up in Wyoming: the grapefruit that got there were not too sweet, usually. My mom would cut them in half and drizzle with a bit of honey and then broil for a couple of minutes. We all ate them right up!
Also, you can juice them and drink the juice for a quick way to get some of that grapefruit. So much better than the frozen stuff. Don't add any sugar.0 -
I love grapefruit.. But, I don't eat them very often because I tend to get hives from them and other citrus. Still ate one today though.. lol Bring on the itchy!0

It's probably the weight of them that is making the variation of the cals on the food database. As shared below, nothing to do with being organic or non-organic. Being a food with a peel it would be low on the list of dangerous foods regarding eating organic over non-organic. I often times go by that. Like berries, much better if you're into Organic buying and to buy those organic since they don't have any protection from the chemicals.0 -
Love me some ruby red grapefruit. I eat once or twice a week because tasty! Aside from clementines, they're really the only citrus fruit that I enjoy.0
