New and excited!

1 year and 4 months after having my first baby I am disappointed in the state of my health. Once a gal who loved to rollerblade, run, dance, bike and hit the gym, my gorgeous son has allowed me to make excuses to no longer do any of those things and also to reward the difficulties, lack of sleep, and tough emotions of motherhood with chocolate and negative talk. I lost all my pregnany weight, plus 5 pounds, with breastfeeding and when he weaned himself off at 9 months I have since put 15 pounds back on (in 7 months). YIKES - thats alot of chocolate!

I am finally at a place where I feel I can commit to eating healthier, feeling more in control of food and activity. I am excited to use fitness pal to help hold me accountable and to hopefully chat with a few other members looking to share tips and motivation. Good luck to all!
