Go slowly. Plan your meals as much as possible about a week in advance so that you can be prepared with the ingredients. For me, the hardest part of being flexitarian (not quite vegetarian) is making sure I have all of the vegetables, beans, grains, and fruits on hand and ready to use in my meals. There's a book called Supermarket Vegan that I've found incredibly helpful for quick meal ideas with ingredients that I can find even at a local small town IGA.0

After 5 years of being a vegetarian (no red meat for 22 years) my blood work came back with low levels for protein. I'm now making sure I get 30% of calories from protein. I pre plan my day. I eat egg whites, greek yogurt, and one protein shake everyday. Without the shake I wouldn't get my all my protein in.0
