for those who do strong curves - what cardio do you do?

So I am in week 4 of the advanced programme (even though I cant do a chin up), trying to do 4 sessions per week but its mostly 3. I was wondering what kind of cardio people are doing? Is there such a thing as too little? I am trying to run twice a week (around 6 miles each). Since starting the programme I have gained about 3lbs, which doesn't sound like much, but that would take me at least 6 weeks to lose usually. I have been overeating a bit and so I think that this is just a case of weight gain rather than the initial gains some people see when starting a new programme.
I was wondering what kind of losses people were seeing with varying amounts of cardio. I try to eat no more than 1500 calories a day, am 5'6", CW 141 lbs, (lots of butt and thigh fat!) I guess I was just hoping to have seen some change by now, but perhaps it is just too early
