So, I just finished the second day of the 6 Day slim down for Hip Hop Abs to just start my new workout. Has anyone here done this work out? Not the Slim Down, specifically, but the whole Hip Hop Abs Month 1? What were your results? Did you follow the meal plans?
I have a hard time following meal plans because I tend to be a picky eater, so I just try to make healthy choices. I've started a low carb diet that has been pretty easy to stick to (starting at 150g), although my husband isnt really that big of a fan, lol.
I wanna see some results so I know what to look forward to! Oh, and feel free to add me as well, I need more friends!

I tried it - never made it the whole way through (the month) - and was also running at the same time. I did see some weightloss, but of course, it comes off where it wants to -not just over the abs or anything. It could have been from the Hip Hop Abs or the running or the eating better - either way, it did for me what I needed it to = put me on track to being more active and eating better.
I also tried that Slim Down, all 6 days to see if that would also work. Of course it did - you average only 1300 calories a day while on it! I tracked it in MFP, that's how i saw it was only 1300 calories per day. I think I lost like 4 pounds from it (this was like 1.5 years ago when I tried it, think I went from 138 to 134, or something close to that). I didn't maintain it at all. I did this right before Christmas... bad timing to jump start healthy choices
I think that is too few calories, even for me being Female 5'4-5'5 & would not do that again or recommend doing that. Of course 6 Day Slim Down you'll see results (your body thinks it's starving!), but then you'll probably just un-see them even when you go back to a "normal diet". Oddly though, I didn't feel hungry while on it.
It help for me to realize some simple foods though (I still make the white fish with shallots & tomatoes, I love it!) and clean up my diet - I tend to like to try cooking new things & go to extremes (making fancy sauces or trying to cook like they do on Food Network, lol), so this did bring me back down to simplicity in cooking - which was for the better.0 -
Yea, like I said, I dont do the meal plans, I am really picky. I am doing a low cab diet and I just eat till I feel full, but I also have at least one meal replacement shake a day, So I save a lot of my calories for snacks during the day. I did the slim down just to jump start the routine, I also go to the gym for random classes on Tuesday and Thursday. I try to keep things different do I dont get use to any one thing.0
