It's possible, just not optimal. Carbs are important for bulking.0

For energy thought right ? I am a slow builder and I work out hard every time . I also pack a lot of fat when stuffing my face with whatever just to get calories and carbs up0

If you're putting on a lot of fat, then just don't stuff your face as much? Too big of a surplus is going to result in fat gain, no matter which macro(s) it comes from.
A little light reading for you regarding bulking and macros: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/muscle-gain/macronutrient-intake-for-mass-gains-qa.html/0 -
Erik, from personal experience I've done it and gained muscle, but at a certain point you'll need to add in some carbs just to properly fuel your workouts. You can do it in a healthy way (sweet potatoes, fruits, rice, quinoa, etc.)
Stuffing your face isn't the solution. As you've discovered you'll gain muscle but also gain fat.0 -

Being ketogenic isn't optimal for muscle hypertrophy to happen. mTOR is needed to promote muscle protein synthesis and reduced energy and ketosis suppress it.
