Here for the long haul!

Hello everybody,
My name is Brandi. I am 23 years old and have a son that'll be three in 2 days. I am a night-shift nurse at a long-term care facility. As for a little background, I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 15. I had always struggled with my weight as a child and was constantly "dieting," mainly because that's all I had ever known since my mother was constantly "dieting," as well. I got pretty thin during my junior year of high school, but it was short-lived. I gained about 40 pounds of the weight back that I had lost by the middle of my senior year.
I met my husband when I was 18. After going to a fertility specialist, the doctor said that the first thing he wanted to try was for me to lose weight. I lost 35 pounds in 4 months by doing a lot of outside work (roofing, logging, construction, etc). After 5 months of working my little butt off with my husband, I found out I was pregnant. Since then, I have gained all of the weight back, PLUS quite a bit.
So, here I am, for the long haul! I have been using MFP for 4 days now, and I really do find it helpful to log my intake and exercise. I find that logging the exercise really motivates me because I don't want to see a day on there that I did absolutely nothing. This time, I do not want to fail, which is always a common outcome. I am going to push through and look at this as a lifestyle, not some fad diet.
