Dry Clean Only - Help me avoid being dirty, lol

I usually disregard the care instructions on my clothes and just do what I want, but I recently purchased some nice dresses that are dry clean only. :/

They're expensive (for me) dresses that I got on sale, so I don't want to destroy them, lol.

How often do you guys dry clean your items? Do you just wash some of it? If so, how do you decide to wash something?

I have a bad habit of just putting questionable items on speed wash with low spin. B)

I shove everything in the washer, add soap.. shove it all in the dryer.

dry clean only means just that.

depending on the material, you can really damage the article of clothing by not following the proper cleaning instructions.

    A little FeBreeze and done.

I kid. Depends on how much you wear them, how much you sweat, or if it just plain looks dirty or smells.

I thought this may be about some new diet fad called dry/clean eating. Like a wet/dry guitar rig or something. I have no thoughts about cleaning clothes. Sorry.

    Lol!

Now I kind of want to read the thread about dry/clean eating. The gifs alone would be worth it.

See, I usually do the washer part but then line dry items in sort of a laundry compromise.

I guess I'm just wondering how much damage. Some of the items don't really seem like they need dry cleaning, but that the brand just doesn't want you to get mad if you damage your over-priced clothing. I think they put that on there so that people will be more careful/wear the item less.

At least one of the dresses does seem like it would be harmed by washing, though. Probably...

Try those little mesh bags, and wash on gentle cycle with a gentle detergent.
