3 weeks ago i jumped on a scale and it read 287lbs and i finally said what the hell are you doing. Got MFP about a week ago. My goal is to reach 200 pounds. Right now I'm at 279.1lbs after 3 weeks.

Man we have very similar goals. I'm 275 and want to get to 200. Just officially started today.0

Cool, tomorrow makes a week on MFP and I'm absolutely loving it. I really think this time is different. I wish I found this site earlier but then I had not really wanted to change. So I wouldn't have stuck with it.0

Happened to me in mid November. 274 lbs fresh off a cruise. I felt disgusting.
Right now I am 227 with maybe 15 to go.
Just dial in, stay on track and DON'T give up when you go 30 days and only lose 3 pounds.
It's worth the effort. Lots of guidance on here...best of luck.0 -
Glad to hear you're starting your journey.
Some things that have helped me are drinking a lot of water, alot, and eating oatmeal.
Oatmeal makes a pretty big bowl for only 150 calories, it's filling. (add 1tsp sugar, 1/4 cup milk, + cinnamon to make it palatable)0 -
Thanks you too. According to my height and age I should be 180lbs but I don't think that's possible cause at 287 lbs I don't look like it. I think I would look sickly at 180 lbs0

I drink a lot of water I've been drinking around 137 ounces of water a day for about 2 months now. I've never really liked oatmeal but I will give it a try0

I could use some people to help keep me motivated if or more likely when I need it.0
