I'm a 51 year old woman who has been morbidly obese now for the last 25 years. That is according to the BMI.I have tried most diets and been successful on Weight Watchers 6 times to the 6 week mark once I get to 6 weeks I seem to lose interest focus and care. when I get bored I eat and I've been bored a lot. I need to exercise but I have severe osteoarthritis. Ihave had two knee surgeries and need one more. I have tons of energy but as soon as I start to exercise the pain takes over and I stop. I have lost all hope.

Hi and I know the Emo eating thing well. I eat when I'm bored, sad and to celebrate. Food became my best friend and companion. I am new here too and I want to lose 70 pounds. I know it can se overwhelmingly difficult at times but just start out at your own pace. That is what I'm doing so I'm not overwhelmed by everything I should do. I don't aim to be perfect just better each day. Feel free to add me and we can work on this together. Gl

Your words are so thoughtful and I need to be reminded of this! One day at a time!!!! I need to lose 45 lbs. Thanks for adding me. I know I should be motivated but I'm not sure why laziness takes over or pain. I guess I dont believe in myself of feel im not worthy to attain the goal. Im reading dr. Phils 20/20 right now...so hopefully it will help my phscy.
