new problem: weight

I'm new to this, I've actually never had a problem with having to much weight till I was 25. Then I just gained. I'm not bad now but would like to shred 20. I don't even know where to begin cause i've not had this problem before. I do go to the gym 6 days a week varying between Strenght days and cardio rest days. Any help would be great. Add me if you like.
