GIST OF THE LONG POST: I'm trying to lose weight and am doing so by modifying my calorie intake to provide a deficit, and lots of fairly intense yoga. Should I be very concerned with losing a lot of muscle?

Hello all.

I'm fairly new to the MFP game, and the healthy weight loss world in general, so I'm seeking the advise of those more experienced. I'm not even sure this is in the right forum.

I recently got to a point in my life where I actually got serious about my weight loss, having lost a bit and then gained quite a bit more all through college. I've lost nearly 25 pounds so far, but came into this with the rookie belief that the one and only rule to successful weight loss was to burn more than you consume. Since doing a lot more research, I've realized it's far more complex than that. I'm now trying to be a lot more careful with my macronutrients, but I'm extremely worried at this point that an upsetting percentage of my weight loss has been from lost lean mass, as opposed to fat.

I don't currently have the time or access to utilize a gym (and my lifting buddy moved across the country), so I'm hoping that yoga is providing enough "resistance training" that I haven't done too much damage yet. I do 75 to 90 minutes of an intermediate class between 3 to 5 times a week (plus some purely cardio running) and typically we hold poses in the classes more than long enough for my muscles to start shaking and me more to at least feel fatigued. Should I be worried about LBM loss?

If you've managed to get all the way to the end of this, I truly appreciate your time and applaud your tenacity.
