I'm 53, 5' 7" . My goal is to lose 85 pounds but I'm making 10 pounds goals to reach. It's hard for me to stay motivated so maybe this will help. Please join me in my weight lose journey .

    Mini goals are a great way to start so you have already started well.
    I haven't been here long but I have picked up the great advice just by perusing the boards, so my advice would be to take time to do just that and be inspired and motivated......

    I'll be 53 in July and I'm 5'2". Been on this journey since mid August. I needed to lose at least 50 lbs. I have about 10 more to go. Losing weight at our age is a little more difficult than when we were younger, but definitely not impossible. I'm here if you want to friend me. I'd be happy to give you support and motivation.

    Setting a mini goal for yourself is a great strategy. When I was losing, it helped to make my goal more manageable and eased frustration.
