Finally putting me first...

I am new here and just wanted to say, hello as I look around and get to know the site. Yesterday, I took my first step towards becoming healthy. Not just for me, although that is the biggest reason for starting my long overdo journey, but for my family as well. I have always put the kids and my husband's needs, and wants, first. Not realizing that by doing so I have not only neglected my own needs but have set bad habits for them was well. Today, I am set to start this even with the difficulties and constant temptations that are sure to be there as my husband is a snacker. I have already began to take control by not snacking with him after the kids go to bed this past month.
My focus point right now is to take control of my uncontrollable love for CHOCOLATE! Yes folks, I am a choc-oholic. There will be difficult days ahead sure, but I got this. Any advice, tips and opinions are always welcome. I wish every one of you luck on your own personal journey!

Welcome to the place where chocoholics can get a grip on that love. There are a lot of us here in the same place and finally taking care of ourselves. You will find supportive folks here on the site. Good luck!0

If you love chocolate, there's no reason you can't have chocolate! If you deny yourself something you love, as soon as the newness of this wears off you will most likely start bingeing. So make sure you budget a few pieces of good quality chocolate into your 'budget' every day.
The key to success isn't deprivation, it's limiting the amounts that you *do* eat.0 -

Giving up chocolate will never happen, believe me on that one. Lol. Learning to take control, or limit it, is definitely my goal here. Thanks for your support!0
