damage control - calorie count

I normally eat closer to my TDEE - approximately 2000 calories on the days I workout.
This past week I have not worked out, and have eaten poorly due to being on vacation.
My question is this - should I use this week to try and do some "damage control" for last week? I was thinking maybe only eating 1500-1700 calories a day, as opposed to my normal 2000, and then next week going back to eating the 2000 a day.
Any thoughts on this? 1500-1700 is still plenty of food for me.
