Hello fitties, I'm looking for some tips/exercises to help lose the 'tyre' of chub on my middle. Any one in same position or been there?
Me: I'm eating 1200cal per day, 3 times a week I run between 4-5km / 2.5-3 miles and do some weights (arms/chest/ab crunch). I don't eat my exercise calories. 5'3 / 161cm and 140pounds / 63kg - goal is 125pounds / 56kg

I'm in the same boat. I can work out as much as possible, eat healthy and not lose anything in my stomach area...
Frustrating!
But if anyone has tips, that will be helpful!!0 -
You don't eat enough.
1,200 calories is not enough - you're basically starving yourself.
TDEE - 20% for me is 2,155 calories and I eat that twice a week and - 20% the rest of the 5 days and it's been working for me.0 -
You can't spot reduce a certain area of your body. The "belly" area is usually the last place the body decides to use fat from, so it is usually the last to go.
All you can do is eat a good diet, exercise, and be patient.0 -
Too large a deficit and insufficient macro nutrients will slow metabolic rate to a crawl and you won't see much of anything happening. Based on what you're saying, you're netting 800 calories or even less a day.

Not much to add to this really, just backing up what everyone else has said...it's all true0

I don't ever net 800 - I wasn't that clear in FP - I meant I don't eat ALL my exercise calories. I do 1200 because that's what MFP put me on... I'll definitely look at upping my food though.
Still no actual core / belly exercise advice though? I appreciate it will go from there last but surely there are some things that'll help with toning in the long term...0 -
I would try the you are your own gym app, they have some pretty good home workouts for your core, arms, legs, back and full body (my favorite)
if your abs don't hurt at the end of a workout...keep going lol0 -

No, not really. Ab exercises won't "tone" the area. Only dropping your overall BF% will.0
