Cellulite/slimming down legs question

Can any ladies here who have successfully got rid of cellulite and the fat on the back of their thighs give me some advice ? I'm going to the gym regularly and my idea of a workout is lifting progressively heavier with low reps and not much cardio (because I just don't like it). I want to get slimmer, harder legs.Well this girl who works at my gym and trains people (though I don't think she is a certified trainer) stopped me in the middle of my squats last week and claimed that I should do 4 sets of 20, with no weights, just the empty bar. She claims that high reps and low weights are the key to losing thigh fat and toning legs, and that low reps paired with weights will make me gain muscle but not slim my legs down or burn any fat.
She also claims I should do leg day only once a week. She caught me training my legs today, after 3 days of rest, and gave me a death stare while arguing I should not do legs. I'm pretty sure she hates me now, lol.

My question is, is she right, or am I right ? I read all over the internet that low reps (6-12) paired with progressively lifting heavier weights are suitable for losing fat and gaining muscle definition. She says it's the complete opposite. What worked for you and what is your opinion on this ?
