Here lately the numbers on the scale have been going down even though I am trying to maintain my current weight. At first I ignored because I thought that it was just normal fluctuations but the scale keeps getting lower and lower.

It really doesn't make sense because I have increased my calories in order to maintain weight and I have been on a break for a couple weeks and haven't even had time to exercise very much at all. I have gone from eating 1400 cals to 1800-1900 cals per day which is what I am supposed to eat in order to maintain. What is happening here? Also I have been eating a vegetarian diet for about 2 months now if that makes any difference...

There is a possibility that your maintenance is actually higher than you think it is. And If you don't measure foods there is also a chance that you're eating less than you think you are (usually the other way around). Try raising your calories a bit more and see if that changes anything. If not, you should probably see your doctor, because unexplained weight loss can be attributed to a medical problem.
