vegetables replacing gluten for carbs

I'm an athlete but I HATE the tastes of breads, pastas and rice (wow). But I do need carbs for my sports events (runner \sprinter). Do you guys have any high carb vegetable ideas that I could use?

Starchy vegetables like potato, yam. How about other grains like teff, chia or oats?0

How about bananas.
Carb-y nuts = cashews.
Carby vegetables include the root veggies: beets, carrots.
Also, check out the winter squashes like butternut squash.0 -
Dates are about the most carb dense thing you'll find.0
