First time pregnancy

Hi there all,
I wasn't quite sure what category to put this in but I figured I'd start by introducing myself. My name is Vivian, I am 25 years old and have recently found out I am prenant. It took me a little over 2 years to lose all my weight (a combined total of 45 pounds) and I am deathly afraid of how much weight I will gain during pregnancy. Any suggestions on exercise or weight lifting? My doctor is not available for two more weeks and I wanted some quick advice in the mean time. I don't mind gaining weight for the baby but I don't want to be fat again. I hear that light excercise makes it easier to lose after birth but I have to admit that I am scared out of my mind. Please help if you can and please don't judge me because of my age. I had already considered the possibility of children in the near future. This was just unplanned (as most first pregnancies are, right?) thanks for your time and any advice will be appreciated!

Hello, I have 3 kids, almost 21, 18 and 2. I put on 2 stone with the first 2 and 3 stone with the last one! I lost it again with no problem, it obviously didn't happen straightaway, but i wouldn't worry too much about it, once you have that baby in your arms, the weight won't matter, and you will lose it in good time with all the rushing about looking after a toddler! Just keep active during your pregnancy and you will be fine. Good luck0

I was in the same boat. Just had a baby, I am almost 24. Spent 2 years losing weight (16 kg). During pregnancy I had very little money and I was eating unhealthy high calorie food during last trimester. First two trimesters I had sickness and I used to throw up a lot. I totally gained by due date 18 kg. I had c-section (baby was breech) and after a week in a hospital my weight was 12 kg more than pre-pregnancy weight. I am on a diet since January and I totally lost 16 kg. I lost a lot of muscle mass and gained more fat, so my goal is to lose another 6 kg. To be honest if I was actually eating right and not having a feast few times a week, I would be in my perfect weight by now. Meaning it is totally possible to get to your perfect weight very quickly after the baby if you watch how much you eat. And even if you feast like me, it took me 16 weeks to lose 16 kg, diet only.0
