Has anyone been very successful with losing 10+ lbs/month? If you have, how? Thanks

Your profile indicates you only have 29lb to lose, it is unlikely that you will lose 10lb+ a month in a healthy way at all. You would need to eat well under the minimum calories.
Aim for an average 1lb per week, eat to the calorie allowance set by MFP and do some reasonable exercise...if you lose any more that the average 1lb per week it will be a bonus.0 -

I have. I did it by starting with over 100 pounds to lose.0

@SecretGift I've lost about 7lbs in the last month, starting with a goal loss of only 20lb... It's not really a good thing to be losing weight that fast and I certainly didn't/wouldn't do it on purpose! As far as I know you're more likely to gain it back if you lose it fast. I thought I was at a 500 deficit eating my burns back, but I'll be upping calories by 250 to see if that's a steadier speed!
Take the time so that hopefully this diet will be your last! You will learn to eat in moderation (eg. 1-2 cookies, not 1-2 packs if you're like me) and I might be wrong, but I think that over time your body gets more and more used to small meals, thus it's easier to maintain post-diet!0 -

Another theory is that yo-yo dieting can slow the metabolism over time. The thinking behind this is that every time you lose weight, you lose muscle. When you regain weight, you put on fat, which burns calories more slowly.
But Michael Mosley says this is a myth. 'There's nothing wrong with losing weight rapidly, as long as you have adequate protein and nutrients, and exercise to maintain muscle,' he says. And weight loss, even if not maintained, can benefit the heart, a team at University College London reported earlier this year.
This again? Beyond the regain rate, it's the same tired article filled with claims based on studies that haven't been reproduced and using only 11 people.

Yes exactly !! That was the most costly "weight loss" of my life! He weighed 10.8 at birth!! So yes I basically did lose about 15 lbs that day . lol0 -
I lost about 18 lbs in a month before. Salad diet, I made sure I had my veggies some meat and dairy. Drank only water. As exercising I did what I enjoyed which was hiking 3xs a week when I could.0
