reached a plateau

I lost 21 pounds the first months and I was so excited. Now the second month I've lost and gained the same 5 pounds. What's up with this? I'm getting upset with myself and keep eating less but then I wake up in the middle of the night hungry...and guess what???? I eat. At least I keep strawberries in the fridge.
Anybody else reach a spot that just won't budge and get discouraged? Help!

    21lbs in a month or months? You probably need to provide more info and open your diary for others to look at. Normally its you eating more than you think and burning less. Its a very ambitious target you have set yourself, which creates pressure Healthy rates of weight loss tends to be 1-2lb a week depending on how much you have to lose..

    I hit a plateau as well. Definately down in the dumps about it. Really bad for a couple weeks now. I put my head down and do what I need to do, but it isn't getting any better. Jump started my workouts again, and adjusted my goals to see if that will help. I feel you. It's miserable and hard but it will be worth it in the end, right? Waiting for myself to cycle back up to the positive. Good luck on your journey.
