Raw to Cooked conversion

Yesterday on the barbecue, we cooked co-op's hot and spicy chicken wings. Each raw chicken wing weighs approx 100g and has 200kcal (eek i think i had too many!) But surely the weight of a cooked chicken wing is different to the raw meat, so shouldn't the calories be different too?

Does anyone know the raw to cooked conversion? or could give me any idea how many calories would be in a cooked chicken wing?

I can't give you a conversion, but I think if you go by raw weight then you will at least be on track, if over limit then it is still a good guide

I do not eat chicken wings, but I assume you can weight the bones / skin after & deduct from raw weight, I do this with chicken legs

It's impossible to know because there is no way to measure the amount of water lost during cooking. That's why you're supposed to weigh precooked food.

Well...i guess if you want to be completely over the top with trying to measure, the logical way to go about it would be to catch the oil the chicken wings release as they cook, measure it, and you have the difference in fats that have been cooked out.

As long as you're not burning them, protein content should stay the same, and moisture evaporated from cooking has zero net caloric content.

But..that is pretty over the top.
