Weight loss help/ suggestions

Hey, My name's Katie and I'm 23. I currently weigh in at 66.9 (147.5 lb), I'm 167 centimetres tall. I recently put on about 10kg due to a 3 month drinking/ food binge. I've started working out with weights and doing cardio most days. I completely gave up alcohol ten days ago. I'm eating 1000-1200 a day (usually somewhere in the middle), not usually eating back exercise calories. I've only seen a tiny downward movement on the scale so far - 0.4kg in ten days. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any hints/ if anyone knows if cutting out alcohol AND taking up exercise might have put my body into shock or something? Sorry for the convoluted post. Just wanted to know if I'm on the right track/ why I haven't lost more.
Thank you
Thank you

It took me a good 10 days after I signed on here and cut my calories back to 1200/day before I saw any movement of the scale.
And then it started going down.
